ABOUT
Kathy Adams Salon was established in 1999 by Adam and Kathy McCaffrey , and is committed to providing the latest styles and professional service in a relaxed and friendly environment. To ensure the best quality service, the staff attends monthly educational meetings to discuss new trends and techniques. KAS work has been featured nationally and internationally in hairstyling books and magazines. In addition KAS also uses its own onsite ring light to take photos for Instagram, Facebook, etc. in order to keep a strong online presence. KAS is also a Great Lengths certified salon, SO Cap certified salon, Halo Pro, and a Aqua Hair certified salon providing the latest technology in hair extensions. KAS has many accolades such as 2021 Best of GA, Best of Gwinnett for 16 consecutive years since 2010, Best of Buford yr 2020, the Citysearch award, KAS was named one of the top 200 fastest growing salons in America by Salon Today Magazine for seven consecutive years. Furthermore, KAS is nominated for the Global Salon Award, which recognizes excellence in the salon industry around the world. KAS is one of the few Redken Elite salons in the country. Kathy and Adam have over 62 years of combined experience, and continue to pursue the latest techniques in the industry today. Kathy is not only a talented stylist "behind the chair" but also Manages our salon team she also has served on the Board of Directors at Gwinnett Tech. Kathy also served on The Board of Cosmetology for the state of Georgia. Adam is a graduate of Kennesaw State College with a BBA in Marketing. After college Adam worked in international marketing and in addition opened an Art studio in Cobb County which he sold after 3 years of success; realizing his passions were both hand on creativity and business, he attended a private beauty college in Cobb County and graduated from beauty college in 1999. Adam has continued to work "behind the chair" but also handles all business aspects of salon.
EDUCATION
Kathy Adams Salon employs an on-site education director for the education of our new talents and to analyze trends and create techniques. KAS is a Redken Elite salon and benefits by receiving education from some of Redken's top educators from around the country. KAS stylists attend monthly in-salon classes, and their new talent receives additional instruction on a monthly basis. KAS also routinely sends stylist to Redken NY 5th Ave for further education. It's their commitment to education that has set them apart from other salons. They are continuously updating their techniques and learning new skills. Because of the diversity of educators that Kathy and Adam bring into the salon, their stylists can do anything from classics to the latest trends.
